I cannot find my password
From the login page, click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link. Enter the e-mail address you have been using to login to your attendee website. If you have not logged in before provide the e-mail address you used to register for the event. Then, click on the "E-mail password" link. Your new password will be sent to you via e-mail shortly. If you do not remember the e-mail address used during event registration or if your new password is not delivered to you (could get caught in a spam filter) then you should e-mail support@bdmetrics.com or contact (800) 931-5103, option 1 to request your login information. I received a message stating, "Username and Password match not found"
Passwords are case sensitive. If your password contains both upper and lower case letters, they must be entered exactly that way to be recognized. Some letters and numbers look alike. Try re-keying these letters or numbers as their look-alike. Examples include lower case l versus the number 1; upper case O versus the number 0. You may also "cut and paste" the password from the notification e-mail to the login page.

Also, an account requires a unique e-mail address so that it may serve as your username. If you did not register for the event using a unique e-mail address you will receive a "Username and Password match not found" message. You should contact the help desk at support@bdmetrics.com or (800) 931-5103, option 1. After entering my e-mail address, password, and clicking "Login", my entries are cleared and I remain on the login page
This may indicate a conflict with your internet browser settings. Please check the following items and then try to login again.
  • At a minimum, session level cookies must be allowed in order to login and use the portal. If you have all cookies blocked, this will prevent you from logging in. Please enable cookies, or at least session level cookies, for our web-site before trying to login again.
  • Temporary internet files may need to be cleared. If it has been a long time since you have cleared out your temporary internet files, we recommend doing so, before trying to login again. Go to your Internet Options and clear or delete any unnecessary temporary internet files and/or cookies.

Can I change my password?
You may change your password by clicking on "Change Password" found at the top of each page. Enter the new password you wish to use in the "New Password" and "Confirm New Password" boxes and click on "Change Password" when done. We recommend selecting a password that is easy for you to remember. Passwords are case sensitive. Therefore any use of upper and lower case letters will be required when using this password to login. Passwords must not exceed 25 characters. Can I change my e-mail address (username)?
Yes, under the Home Tab at the top of the page, click on the sub-tab "Personal Info". This will open up the contact information page. The e-mail address field is toward the bottom of this page. Simply enter the e-mail address you prefer to use and click the "Update" button at the bottom of the page. Your portal requires a unique e-mail address. Thus, if you try to change your e-mail address to something that is already in use you will receive a message when you hit update and your change will not be accepted. What is this "portal" all about? What can I do?
Your portal is provided to you as a service resulting from your event/conference registration. This tool is your personal assistant that intelligently mines through the entire event community to find the knowledge, people and products most closely matched to meeting your objectives. Best of all, it's free! With this tool you can:
  • Utilize the intelligent search engine to find Companies, Products, and People of value to you You can execute a keyword search directly from the Home page. Or, click on the Search tab to access the various criteria-based search tools. Click on the underlined company name, product name, job title or "View Details" link next to any search result for more information about that company, product, or person. You can save any search for future reference. Be sure to click on the "Add to My Event Plan" link for any company, product, or person you want to remember to see at the event.
  • Build a personal event agenda with business value for you "My Event Plan" is your personalized event planner. It retains a list of companies, products, and people that are of immediate value to your business. Just click "Add to My Event Plan" when you find things of value as you initiate searches, view recommendations, and receive incoming connection requests. Click "View My Event Plan" anytime to review your must-see list for the event.
How can I view the information others can see about me?
Click on the Home tab, and then select the "Profile Summary" sub-tab. This displays your detailed profile information. Initially, this information is built based on the information you provided during event registration. Please review this information for accuracy and completeness. To provide you with the best company, product and people search results your information should be as detailed and accurate as possible. Accurate profile information will also aid the right people to find you. To update any of the information, click on the link next to the area you wish to change. This will take you to the appropriate update page. When finished, be sure to click on the "Update" link at the bottom of any of these pages to save your changes. I am receiving e-mails about recommendations. How do I access/use this information?
The e-mails you are receiving are to draw your attention to the customized reports which are available to you based on your profile. In the weeks before the event, these reports are activated one-by-one. Several of these reports are active lists which are updated in real-time as more people register for the event and use the portal so you should check these reports often. As you review the results, you can:
  • "Add to My Event Plan" any company or product that you wish to see at the event, you can add to your "Event Plan", your personalized event planner. Right before the event, you can print your "Event Plan" to use as a guide to ensure you see the things most valuable to you.
  • You can improve your matches by reviewing and updating your profile. Click on the link to the right of the report or go to the Home tab and select the "Profile Summary" sub-tab to review and edit your profile information. You can view the impact of any updates to the You-Based reports immediately. Just click on the Reports tab and select the "You-Based Event Report" link.
What is the basis for the You-Based Event Report recommendations?
Using your profile information and the profile information of other attendees and exhibitors at the event, the intelligent search engine matches you to Companies, Products, People, and Peers aligned to your stated business interests. It also provides insight into search terms being used by other attendees who have a profile similar to yours. These reports are active and are continuously updated, so check back often.

You can use these recommendations to plan your activities for the event or use the recommendations as ideas for executing your own searches. Be sure to add those matches you wish to pursue to your Event Plan, your personalized agenda for the event. How do I find people that are relevant to my interests?
There are two ways you can find people using your portal.
  • You can use the intelligent search engine. You can execute a keyword search on any term(s) you wish. You can conduct a keyword search directly from the Home page or by clicking on the Search tab immediately below the page header. Or, you can use one of the criteria based search which give you the option of using any one or a combination of search criteria. Under the Search tab, see the Find People and Find Products and Companies sub-tabs to execute these criteria based searches. The Find People search will return both attendees and exhibitors. The Find Products and Companies search will return exhibitors only.
  • Utilize the You-Based Event Recommendation Reports Periodically in the weeks before the event, these reports are activated one-by-one. Several of these reports are active lists which are continuously updated as more people register for the event and use the portal. So, be sure to check back often. These reports are found under the Reports tab, then, click on the You-Based Event Reports link.
Why should I use this tool?
Most conferences and events are large and your time is valuable. This tool helps you make the most of your trade event experience. By planning ahead you can ensure that you see everything relevant to your business objectives. Your portal also provides unprecedented access to the event community with the ability to network with others before, during, and after the event.

Travel costs, time away from the office, and registration fees, can make attending a event expensive. Your portal can be utilized to justify this expense. Your Event Plan becomes your record of event related activities based upon your business objectives. How can I make my company / products / services visible to others attending the event?
There are two things you can do to improve your visibility.

First, review and update your personal, company, and product profile. The more accurate and detailed your profile, the better the powerful search engine will be able to assist others searching for products and services like yours to find you. To review and update your profile, from the Home page, go to each of the sub-tabs of Personal Info, Company Info, My Product Interests, My Networking Interests. Make the necessary changes and click "Update" at the bottom of each of these pages to save any changes you make.

Second, use the powerful search engine yourself to locate and reach out to those who match to keywords or other criteria you provide. There are several ways to execute a search. From the Home page, you can enter relevant keyword(s) and click on "Go". You can also click on the "Search tab" and use any of the criteria specific search tools there. When reviewing search results, click on the company name, product name, job title, or "View Details" link to review the full Connection Profile for the person. Still need assistance?
